ARQUIMEA participates in FIGAN 2023, the most important innovation and technology meeting of the agribusiness sector. In its 16th edition, which will take place in Zaragoza from March 28 to 31, the company’s agrotech area will present its new advances for the optimization and innovation of the farms and agriculture of the future.
ARQUIMEA, which had traditionally focused its animal reproduction solutions for the boar sector, will take the opportunity of the event to present its new offer of multi-species semen analysis technologies: ISAS PRO and SQS2, as well as other solutions, focused on improving the conservation and quality of semen.
The Spanish technology company will present its automated semen analysis systems: ISAS PRO and SQS2, two pieces of equipment specifically designed to optimize the artificial insemination process. By automatically analyzing, they allow obtaining the determination of the seminal quality with objective results, eliminating the human factor and ensuring the best conditions for the analysis.
ISAS PRO is a robotic system based on CASA technology, which automatically analyzes semen quality in just 10 seconds, simultaneously evaluating motility, concentration, and morpho-anomalies. Unlike conventional analysis equipment, it is not necessary for an operator to operate the microscope by focusing and moving from one field to another since ISAS PRO can do it autonomously. In addition, its software with an artificial intelligence learning system analyzed samples with high precision.
SQS2, on the other hand, is an automatic and compact system that evaluates vitality and concentration in less than a minute by means of fluorescence technology. As a novelty, ARQUIMEA, which had already shown its equipment for swine in the last edition, will present its ISAS PRO for ruminants and SQS2 for species such as equines, canids, and ruminants.
For ARQUIMEA, animal reproduction process optimization does not start in the laboratory. They also develop complementary solutions to improve semen quality, facilitate the transport of samples or optimize the insemination process.
During FIGAN, ARQUIMEA will present its sperm promoters SPZ+ and SPZ Algae, two nutritional supplements characterized by their positive intestinal tolerance, which cause a 15% increase in ejaculate volume in boars. Other solutions that will be presented are long-lasting diluents or counting chambers that provide better optical quality and more reliable results.
The company will also use the event to present its first sustainable agriculture product BIO100, a 100% biological algaecide made from natural compounds, which has the capacity to eliminate and prevent algae from growing in water ponds.
BIO100 has been specially designed to care for agricultural soils, the ecosystem, and the environment. This bioproduct does not damage the soil or crops, and is compatible with both traditional and organic agriculture since it can be used in water ponds previously treated with chemical algaecides.
ARQUIMEA is a reference company in the solutions development and products created with its own technologies that contribute to the innovation and optimization of the farms and agriculture of the future.
