Our extensive experience in electronics technology allows us to be involved in turnkey projects.

Electronics and microelectronics are ARQUIMEA’s own DNA capabilities. Since the company was founded, we have been dedicated to it, together with mechanical engineering. We apply our electronic knowledge to improve the function of the rest of the disciplines in which we work, such as telecommunications or robotics.

ARQUIMEA is a microelectronics fabless design house, so our microelectronics activity is focused on chip design and development. Specifically, we are experts in the design of analog, digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits, resistant to cosmic radiation.

Our microelectronics solutions include application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and IP cores (fuctional blocks or circuits that are later integrated into larger, more complex circuit or chip).

The extensive experience we have in electronics technology allows us to be involved in turnkey projects, where we create a customer-specific application, meeting high-level requirements and detailed specifications for design, verification and validation or qualification testing for space applications.

Our experience

More than 17 years of microelectronic technology

In 2009, we signed our first microelectronics contract for space, a turning point for our growth. We designed two ASICs (applicarion-specific integrated circuits) in an active relecommunications antenna, developed by Airbus, for the Hispasar 36W-1 GEO telecommunications satellite, which was launched in 2017 and has been operating successfully ever since, with more that 500 ARQUIMEA chips on board.

We work regularly in the development of technologies with the European Space Agency (ESA) or the European Commission, which has allowed us to participate in more than 35 microelectronics projects, including the development of ASICs for Hisdesat or Eutelsat satellites, design of Ips in various technologies or characterization of technologies for space applications.
