ARQUIMEA to showcase its Autonomous defense systems at UNVEX 2026

ARQUIMEA, a technology company with more than 20 years of experience in the defense and space sectors, will participate in UNVEX 2026, Spain’s leading professional event for unmanned systems, taking place on September 16 and 17 in San Javier, Murcia. The event will bring together companies, Armed Forces, public institutions, and security and law enforcement agencies to discuss the evolution of autonomous technologies and their applications in defense and security.

During this edition, ARQUIMEA will present its autonomous systems for the naval and air domains through its WISE, KRONOS and Q-SLAM families. These loitering systems are designed to provide advanced surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence and intervention capabilities across different operational scenarios and against different types of threats.

Naval Domain: WISE and KRONOS Families

For the naval domain, ARQUIMEA develops autonomous systems designed to enhance surveillance, reconnaissance and intervention capabilities both on the surface and underwater. Through its WISE and KRONOS families, the company offers underwater and surface solutions for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, mine detection and threat neutralization. These systems are capable of operating in complex maritime environments and contributing to greater protection and effectiveness for deployed forces.

S-WISE is a unique system capable of carrying out tactical and surveillance missions both on the surface and underwater. Its main advantages include its compact size—just 2.5 meters in length—its low acoustic signature and its 85-mile range.

Air Superiority: Q-SLAM Family

In the air domain, ARQUIMEA will showcase its complete family of Q-SLAM loitering systems, including the Q-SLAM-5, Q-SLAM-40, Q-SLAM-80, Q-SLAM-100 and Q-SLAM-200, with ranges from 3 km to 300 km.

In addition, the company will conduct a demonstration of its Q-SLAM-40 loitering system, which incorporates technological enhancements designed to increase its endurance and range while strengthening its operational capabilities. These developments further consolidate a system that has already achieved a high level of technological and operational maturity, following deliveries to several armed forces and the manufacture of more than 3,000 units.

Multilayer Interceptor System to Neutralize a Wide Range of Threats

ARQUIMEA will also showcase its TABANO multilayer interceptor system, integrated into a 4×4 vehicle. The solution combines different capabilities to detect, identify and neutralize drone swarm threats, providing a mobile protective bubble for units, infrastructure and strategic assets.

The system integrates a multi-launcher for autonomous effectors capable of adapting the response to each threat and operational scenario. It therefore provides a flexible, scalable and cost-effective solution for protecting deployed forces, critical infrastructure and strategic assets.

Its operation covers the phases of scanning, detection, identification, engagement and continuous reassessment. Once a threat has been detected and classified, the operator selects the most appropriate interceptor and authorizes its launch. The version presented at UNVEX features three types of interceptors depending on the speed and distance of the threat: Q-FOX, Q-SLAM-5i and Q-SLAM-40.

Integrating autonomous systems into land platforms enhances their mobility and facilitates deployment across a wide range of operational environments. This multilayer approach enables responses to different types of threats through the coordinated use of sensors, command-and-control systems and interception capabilities.
