  • The agreement seeks to integrate critical capabilities that enhance the competitiveness and options of Spanish industry to lead major defence programmes.
  • Indra could integrate ARQUIMEA’s loitering munition systems into its combat cloud and the IndraMind intelligence platform, as well as into Indra’s ground vehicles and UAS, delivering more comprehensive, higher-value solutions.
  • The agreement is the result of discussions held during the 2nd National Meeting of the Innovation Ecosystem, organised by Indra under the slogan “Innovate, advance, grow. Together, stronger,” and held last October in Madrid.

Madrid, 18 December 2025.– Indra Group and ARQUIMEA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the delivery of solutions designed to operate in new operational environments, which are increasingly robotised and where information dominance is critical to mission success.

The agreement was signed today at ARQUIMEA’s facilities in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) and is the result of discussions held in the framework of the 2nd National Meeting of the Innovation Ecosystem, organised by Indra in October in Madrid, which brought together nearly 600 companies, SMEs, research centres and universities.

The memorandum envisages the integration of the loitering munition developed by ARQUIMEA into Indra’s combat cloud and its IndraMind platform, a cognitive engine designed to enhance situational awareness and enable far more precise and effective decision-making. The agreement also includes the possibility of integrating these systems into Indra’s ground vehicles and UAS.

ARQUIMEA’s loitering systems represent an advanced technological solution that enhances the operational capabilities and decision-making of the Armed Forces during their missions.

Ángel Escribano, Executive Chairman of Indra Group, stated that “Indra is thus moving forward in its objective of strengthening collaboration with the entire Spanish industrial ecosystem in order to combine capabilities and deliver the best solutions to the Armed Forces in an increasingly agile manner.”

For his part, ARQUIMEA’s President, Diego Fernández Infante, noted that “at ARQUIMEA we are a benchmark in loitering drones in Spain and have the industrial capacity to manufacture thousands of units each year. This collaboration agreement with the national leader in information and control systems allows us to combine capabilities to generate clearly greater value than we could deliver individually.”

Having loitering munitions is critical to ensuring the technological sovereignty and strategic autonomy of our armed forces and allies. Their potential integration with the combat cloud and the IndraMind platform, as well as with ground vehicles and UAS, would enable the faster deployment of new multidomain combat capabilities, multiplying their effectiveness.

The agreement strengthens collaboration between two leading Spanish companies that develop highly innovative, complementary technologies. The ability to deliver complete, integrated systems is crucial for Spain to be able to aspire to leading major programmes in Europe and to secure the role it deserves in the defence of the continent.
