The most powerful telescope ever manufactured, the James Webb Space Telescope, has been successfully launched from Kourou on board an Ariane 5, on December 25, 2021. The JWST, developed by the NASA with participation of the

Telecommunications satellite Star One D2, manufactured by Maxar for Embratel operator, has been launched on-board an Ariane 5 from Kourou. The satellite is based on Maxar’s 1300 satellite bus and will be providing communications services in 4 bands: C-, Ku-, Ka- and X-band.

IberEspacio (ARQUIMEA at the present) has provided thermo-structural panels with embedded heat pipes, that are part of the structural a thermal system of the spacecraft.

Also, In the same Ariane flight, it was put in orbit Eutelsat Quantum satellite. Quantum was developed in the framework of a public-private partnership between the European Space Agency (ESA), the operator Eutelsat and Airbus Defence and Space. Eutelsat Quantum will be the first universal satellite in the world that can be repeatedly adjusted to the customer’s requirements at any time thanks to its configurable software-based design.

IberEspacio (ARQUIMEA at the present) has support Eutelsat Quantum satellite with the procurement of Heat Pipes.
