The Integrated Circuits Group is specialized in high reliability mixed-signal microelectronics. But, what do we call High Reliability Integrated Circuits?
High reliability means designing for a harsh environment and Zero failures. Integrated Circuits are made of Silicon, a material sensitive to Temperature, Radiation and other environmental parameters. Today’s complex systems require many integrated circuits operating at the same time, in order to offer the software and hardware resources necessary to run. If a failure occurs in several signals or bits of one of those Integrated Circuits, for example due to a Temperature or radiation event, a failure at system level may occurred. Design techniques and Manufacturing processes are employed in High Reliability Microelectronics development that prevent failures at Integrated Circuits. Such devices are called Hi-Rel Parts.
ARQUIMEA staff has worked with most of the Silicon providers (so called Foundries) around the world testing the most suitable technologies for each application. There are technologies well suited for Hi-Rel Power Devices, Hi-Rel Low Noise Devices and also for Hi-Rel RF or HV devices. But selecting the right technology is not enough, and Design Techniques at Architecture level, at Transistor level and also at Chip layout level are required. ARQUIMEA has spent a lot of time and effort, in collaboration with Research Centers, ESA and other Customers in order to develop a full set of Analog and Digital low level libraries, on different Foundry technologies that are Radiation and Temperature tolerant by design.
ARQUIMEA Integrated Circuits Group is open to discuss your application at any time. Integrate your ideas. If you want to contact with us do not hesitate to ask.
